News has it that China has already overtaken Japan and Germany as Bentley’s third biggest market. This was according to the sales figures which came in at the end of 2009. The declaration was made by Zheng Shunjing, the director of the car maker’s Chinese operations. Bentley enthusiast Laurent Van Dessel called in from Belgium with this report (for which we thank him!).
Bentley also reported that it has long term plans for China. These long term sales plans include making a breakthrough of 1000 vehicles sold to China in a year by 2014. In order for the manufacturer to reach this goal, it will have to import several of its new products to China. According to reports, Bentley is planning to include the latest flagship model of the company, which is the Mulsanne.
